Being simple has its benefits: sitting back, musing at all the wonderful moments life gives you and the unpredictable ones that would come your way - isn't that the greatest? For one, you can never feel too old, getting old, too young, or too far behind your elders to bother with catching up with anything. I'm neither young nor old, I know I'm growing up, I have a life, I have a story for every moments with them. And they're just the most sophisticated parts of my rather average existence.

WELCOME!

This is a life story.
This is where my dreams, experiences, directions,
mind states, imaginations, heartbeats, breaths and focuses
meet and bend.

A love and control for tasty sweets

I like it when people travel. They see places outside their havens, they breathe in a different scent in the air, they get a feel of being "new" to a particular place, they get excited, homesick, and lost all at the same time. All of these are great whenever people share these exposures with me. Usually, with stories of travel and living, I get to experience the "feel" of "being there". One particular exciting share that I like about travelling is the dare to expose oneself to the exotic flavors of different places. Food of different varieties is a custom to all cities and countries. So without denying it, yes, I do get excited when people talk about food. I get even more elated when they bring some home!

So my grandma's sisters arrived today from Manila. They brought with them a few pasalubongs for the family to share. With them was a cake that our Aunt in Greenhills bought for us.

It's a Patisserie Mochachino special cake! Mocha, Caramel ,Cappuccino, and White Chocolate in one!

Manila Pavilion is a hotel. They actually stamp their name on chocolate. Awesome!

So yeah, it's not really an exotic food. It's cake, so how does that make it any new? One, it's an expensive treat with it's store name nowhere to be found in my city. Two, the taste (according to my sister) is nothing like what the local cake shops sell. So it's exotic. Or not. Whatever. It's still something out of the city.
To be honest, I didn't taste some. I know, why? I only fingered a few icings and ate the shaved white chocolates on the top and sides. The icings gave way to the taste of "too sweet" and "too sugary" which is VERY bad for me. Not that I'm diabetic or anything.
Growing up, I was a sweet tooth. I ate anything sweet from candies to chocolates to all-time favorite caramel and juice pops. I didn't know when it started, just that, one day, I was offered a big Toblerone snack. Instinctively, I waved my hands in front of me as if avoiding something. I actually rejected a chocolate, a favorite, at that. It had dawned on me that my body is seemingly protecting me on its own to prevent me from causing damage to my system. DM runs in my family. So I guess this "auto reject" in me is sort of guarding and controlling me from taking anything too sweet and too sugary. I'm actually really glad for this. Hopefully this'll help me when I grow into a geriatric. :D

On a side note, apart from the cake, I was given an armlet. It's so cute! Besides loving sweet sweets I also have a passion for everything that beautifies a girl. Except makeup.

Isn't it adorable?

I must say, though unable to eat my way to satisfaction, I am already appeased with the swelling loveliness that jewelry can give me.
